How do I get on page one of Google

The answer is SEO. SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and it is the process of optimizing your website so that it ranks higher in search engine results pages (SERPs). There are a number of things you can do to optimize your website for better ranking, and we’ll go over a few of them here.

Paid Advertising

The quickest way to get to page one is by paying for it—literally. Google Ads is an advertising platform that allows businesses to purchase ad space at the top of the search results for specific keywords. When someone searches for one of those keywords, your ad will appear at the top of the results. And, since people are more likely to click on an ad than anything else on the page, this is a great way to get more eyes on your website.

BUT – once you stop paying for the ads – your traffic is gone too.

Organic Search

The second way to get on page one is through organic search, which is basically free marketing. To rank organically, you need to make sure your website is optimized for search engines. This means using the right keyword density, having high-quality content, and building backlinks from other credible websites. It’s a lot of work, but it’s worth it because organic traffic tends to be more valuable than paid traffic.

Do your research

The first step is to research the keyword or phrase you want to rank for. You need to make sure that the keyword is relevant to your website and that it has a high enough search volume to be worth your while. You also need to make sure that the keyword is something you can realistically rank for. If you’re a small business, you’re not going to be able to rank for a keyword like “car insurance” because the competition is too high. However, you might be able to rank for a keyword like “local car insurance.”

On-page optimization

Once you’ve done your research and settled on a keyword, it’s time to start optimizing your website for that keyword. That means including the keyword in places like your title tags, meta descriptions, header tags, and body copy. It’s important to use the keyword naturally, though, and not stuff it in where it doesn’t belong. Google will penalize you for keyword stuffing, which will hurt your ranking rather than help it.

Off-page optimization

In addition to on-page optimization, you also need to focus on off-page optimization. This includes things like link-building and social media engagement. Link building is the process of getting other websites to link back to yours, and social media engagement is pretty self-explanatory—it just means being active on social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook. The more links and social signals you have pointing back to your website, the higher your ranking will be.

SEO can seem like a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be. By doing your research, optimizing your website both on and off page, and being active on social media, you can increase your chances of ranking on page one of Google—and getting more traffic as a result.
